If I put a picture of myself on my website will businesses discriminate because I am african-american?
I am trying to restart my home-based business and would like to put a professional picture of myself on my website. I have a couple of clients already, but I got them through advertising on Craigslist. I have a full-time job but work part-time as an independent contractor through my home-based business. I provide Clerical (Administrative/Secretarial) services and I market small to large businesses in my area. I think a picture is a good idea to show people who they are working with and to let people know that I am serious about my business, however, I could also see people discriminating and not giving me a chance based on the color of my skin.

take classes in communications to learn how to speak better, classes in writing to learn how to write better, take classes in computers and web design to be able to learn how to market over the internet because a lot of businesses lack that. plus do internships volunteering and joining activities relating to my career plans while managing my grades and getting a tutor.
Why do MLMers let themselves be convinced that the reason their product is sold in MLM is because its unique?
You often hear MLMers telling you the reason their product is sold through MLM is because its unique and requires a unique system.
But consider if you had a new product that had value, would you not bring it to the market with maximum exposure (traditional methods) if sales volume is your goal? Considering the age of the internet, of course you would. What possible advantage is any product going to receive using a system that makes sales using people who are not required to have any sales or marketing experience/expertise?
